BONNIE BECK Obituary

BECK, BONNIE

Bonnie Beck Obituary for Gainesville Sun - Thursday, May 12, 2011.

Bonnie Beck, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, died peacefully on May 2, 2011. She was 88. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and moved to California with her parents at age 13. After her retirement as an Executive Secretary with the Northrop Corporation, she and her husband ultimately moved to Gainesville in 1986. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Beck loved animals and enjoyed crafts, gardening, feeding the birds, and baking sweets for her family and friends. She always had a smile and giggled often and easily.

She is survived by her daughters Margaret (Mel) Benway of Boynton Beach; Cathy (Robert) Bonde of Gainesville; and grandchildren Michael and Julie Bonde. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles H. Beck.

The family suggests for those who wish expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alachua County Humane Society or Al'z Place.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Chapel in Meadows (Forest Meadows Mausoleum) Forest Meadows Memorial Park, Central, 3700 N.W. 39th Ave., with Rev. Denny Heiberg, Pastor of Grace at Fort Clarke, a United Methodist Church officiating
