VELMA GUINDON Obituary

GUINDON, VELMA L.

Velma "Vel" Lucille Guindon, 76, died May 26, 2011 in Fort Pierce, Fl. Velma was born in Princeton, Arkansas on November 4, 1934 to Alma and George Yeargin. Velma married Robert Guindon (deceased) in 1953 and they had 4 children. She moved from Gainesville, FL to Fort Pierce, FL in 1993.

Velma is survived by three children, Linda Dean, Susan Smith, and Paul "Greg" Guindon, all of Fort Pierce, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children, two brothers, George Yeargin and Jerry Stewart of Alachua County, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her oldest son, Robert David Guindon.

A memorial and viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM AT Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3700 S.E. Hawthorne Rd.

Donations to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5090 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981 will be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
