ANDREW MUNDEN Obituary

MUNDEN JR., ANDREW P.

Mr. Andrew Pat Munden, Jr. 86 of Rural Lake Butler died Saturday at Shands Hospital UF in Gainesville after an accidental fall. Mr. Munden was born in Marshall, Texas. He moved to Lake Butler in. 1959 and had lived in Eatonville, Washington before moving back to Lake Butler in 2009. He was a retired superintendent of Florida Gas Transmission near Brooker. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Gainesville. He was the son of the late Andrew Pat Sr. and Bess Lancaster Munden. He was also preceded. in death by a daughter, Shannon M. Sparks and a sister, Marjorie Munden.

Mr. Munden is survived by: His loving wife of 64 years: Mildred "Millie" D. Munden of Lake Butler One daughter: Patsy Marie (husband Larry) Munden of Savannah., Ga. One son: Jodie Lee (wife Susan) Munden of San Clemente, Ca. Six Grandchildren: Jason, Deanna, Cathrine, Christian, Kate, and Adrianne Five Great grandchildren: Kole, Dillon, Dawson, Justin and Ericka. One Great great-grandson: Jackson.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with Pastor Thom Gibson officiating. There will be no visitation. Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements.

Some of my best memories from childhood revolve around the Munden family. I'll never forget the principled stand they took one unforgettable day in the '60's. A wonderful family and a wonderful man.
