ANN EGAN Obituary
Ann Marie Egan died peacefully at home Friday, April 13, 2018, after an inspiring and courageous battle with cancer. Anni was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on November 5, 1962, to the late Edward and Patricia Silva. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Timothy Egan, two brothers, Edward Silva, and James Silva, three sisters, Patricia Silva, Mary Isaacs, and Theresa McNeil, and many nieces and nephews.
Anni was a longtime educator, having taught at Bell Elementary, Bronson Elementary, and for the past 13 years was the Principal at The Healthy Learning Academy in Jonesville. The success of HLA is testament to her dedication and enthusiasm for education. She loved her students so much and they loved her in return. The kids enjoyed going to school and were eager to learn. HLA embodies principles that Anni has always held dear. A healthy mind and a healthy body are closely connected. The school incorporates yoga, PE, and plenty of outdoor activities to stimulate learning.
Anni was a shining star of joy and happiness. She lived her life to the fullest and had fun while working hard at everything she put her mind to. Some of her greatest enjoyment came from dancing, singing karaoke, watching the Rays and the Gator baseball team, and spending time at the beach with Tim. Her enthusiasm and optimism was infectious and she influenced so many people. Her smile could light up the darkest day and her upbeat attitude was contagious.
A Celebration of Anni's life will be held at the Newberry Municipal Building, 25420 W. Newberry Rd. Newberry, on May 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Florida Cancer Center Foundation, or Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd, Gainesville, FL.

Anni was a great human being who is badly missed. It was an honor for me to be her friend and will be forever grateful for the good times and her support when I was down. Can't think of a more joyful and positive person. She will be forever in my memories and I am thinking a lot and praying for Tim and her family. God bless.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Anni will be missed by so many people; the children and families that she touched through her school, Healthy Learning Academy, as well as her loving outreach to the Gainesville community. I am a better teacher and a kinder person from volunteering with her. May she rest in peace; my deepest condolences to her family.

I will be forever grateful for the friendship that Anni and my late sister Linda Legare had. I cannot believe she passed 364 days after my sister. I felt the love she exuded and gave to my family in our time of need. I hope that Tim and his family feel the love and prayers wrapped around then during this time.

I can not say enough about how wonderful Ann was. She was my daughters 5th grade Teacher. She was the most positive influence in my daughter Kristi's life and mine. The world has lost a true treasure and blessing. Ann's family is in my prayers.

What wonderful tributes to an amazing women. She truly did touch so many lives and her kids will carry on her legacy for her.
She was my sister and a big part of our family. Miles and age separated us and I wish we had been closer but you will be missed so much and leave a huge hole in our family. I love you Ann Marie.

Anni was a beautiful shining star her whole life. She was my best friend when we were growing up on Greenleaf Circle. Many shenanigans and good times at the family's house. With this great light missing many will feel lost but, we must all remember that she would want us to keep moving forward and know that she is there in our hearts still guiding us. Anni will always be that light that helps guide me and that helps me continue bettering myself as a teacher.
