I talked to you once or twice about a year or so ago and I was delighted to receive a picture of you and your son. Our brother Larry got me in touch with you. Unfortunately, I did not get to know you as well as I would have liked to; however, the conversations we had were very pleasant and kind. I was happy to have made contact with my little brother and I hoped for more as I extended an invitation for you to visit me and my family in Florida. My daughter (Blair) who is currently attending UF in Gainesville was moving on the day of your passing. Regretfully, had I known where you were I would have been there for you. My prayers are with all of your close family and friends for the Lord to provide them soothing comfort and understanding.

To the family and loved ones of Derrick Terrell Handy, Sr. May the grace of God keep you in perfect peace during this hour of bereavement. Though I did not know Derrick personally, still I feel your pain. I send you my love and my prayers will be with you always as we mourn the passing of our younger brother Derrick. “Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” Psalms 30:5 Faithfully Submitted
