HENRY PATRICK Obituary
Son of the late James & Francis Scott-Mayes, Age 62, Retired Cook's Foreman/VA Medical Center, US Army Veteran/Vietnam War (A Recipient of the Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal and National Defense Service Medal), Retired Member of 3396 Army Reception Battalion & Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), died Friday, May 13, 2011, at Shands Hospital @ University of Florida.
The Homegoing Celebration will be held 11:00AM Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church (Gainesville, FL) where Reverend Geraldine W. McClellan is Pastor, with Reverend Alan Jackson officiating. Burial (with Military Honors) will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Mr. Mayes will be viewed at the Funeral Home on Friday 2:00-7:00PM - At the Church on Saturday 30 Minutes prior to the Services - And with the Processional. The Procession will form at Mr. & Mrs. Mayes residence, 2239 NE 7th Avenue, Gainesville, at 10:15AM.
Patrick leaves to cherish his memory: a loving Wife (of 39 Years) - Eldora Lumpkin-Mayes; a devoted Daughter - Chanda Patria Mayes; a devoted Son - Adrian Mayes; 3 Grandchildren - Ki'shon P. Mayes, Kidron A. Mayes and Arneeke Williams all of Gainesville, FL; 3 Brothers - Amos Mayes (& Ida), Hawthorne, FL, Leo Mayes (& Friend - Annie Rolle) of Gainesville, FL and Rickey K. Mayes (& Marilyn) of Orange Park, FL; 2 Brothers preceded him in death; 1 Sister - Ardie Ray (& Edward) of Hawthorne, FL; Aunts - Rosa L. Smoke of Atlanta, GA and Rutha Mae McNeal and Maude Riles of Gainesville, FL; Uncle - Bobby Johnson of Tampa, FL; Adopted Sister - Peggy Ann Sims of Williston, FL; Special Cousin - Maybe Jordan (& Lonnie) of Gainesville, FL; A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and caring Friends.
