Woodrow Edenfleld Obituary

WOODROW

Raiford - Mr. Woodrow W. Edenfleld, Jr., 78, died Friday at Lake Butler Hospital after a sudden illness. Mr. Edenfield was born in Union County where he lived most of his life. He was a Correctional officer (Lieutenant) with Union Correctional Institution near Raiford before his retirement in 1994. He served 21 years with the U.S. Air Force before he retired. Mr. Edenfield was formerly a member of a Masonic Order. He was a Baptist. He was the son of the late Woodrow W., Sr. and Vera Sue Lee Kerce Edenfield.

Mr. Edenfield is survived by: His wife: Margaret Edenfield of Grand Ridge. 3 Sons: Eddie Allen Edenfleld of Sampson City; Ricky Lee Edenfield of Baker; Scottie Michael Edenfield of Raiford. Sisters: Marie (husband Fabian) Scaff of Lake Butler; Sue Ann (husband Bill) Bristow of Lake City; Louanna (husband Joel) Kirby of Lake Butler. 2 Brothers: Wilson Lamar (wife Vera) Edenfield of White Springs and Joseph Gregory Edenfield of Charlotte, N.C. Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 07, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with Pastor Mike Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Old Providence Cemetery near Providence.

Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., just prior to services.
