ELDRED O'STEEN Obituary
Eldred Stanton (Eddie) O'Steen 80 of Brooker, passed away peacefully at the Veterans Medical Center in Gainesville after an extended illness. He was born in Providence, living the last 23 years in Brooker. He was the son of the late Stanton F. O'Steen and Rivy Fralick O'Steen. He Retired from University of Florida in 1992, where he was Supervisor of Plant Divisor). He is a member of the Providence Village Baptist Church. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean. Conflict. He was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth and 2 sisters; Elaine and Thelma.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years : Loreta (Lori) Corbin O'Steen His Daughter: Jennifer. Kennedy Rose(David) of Chiefland. 3 Sons: Steve Osteen (Sandra) of Alachua; Scott Osteen (Sherrie) of Newberry; and Robert Kennedy (Dawn) of Ft. Stewart, Ga. U. S. Army. 1 Brother: Rev. Lowell O'Steen (Gwen) Lake City. 1 Sister Glenda Faye O' Stevn Chasteen (John) of Lakeland. 10 Grandchildren: Rebecca O'Steen Crowers (Matt); Mark O'Steen; Sarah O'Steen; Kevin Nugent; Kaytlen Nugent; Christian Kennedy; Joseph Kennedy; J. C. Kennedy; Derek Logan and Evan Rose. 2 Great Grandsons: Dylan Crowers and Gavin Crowers.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with Rev. Lowell O'Steen officiating. Burial will follow in Old Providence Cemetery under the care of Archer Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday evening.

iam leroy mcferrin of bowie texas i was in the navy with eldred stationed in pearl harbor he was the greatest man i have every know he helped us all in many ways to help us get threw what ever it was --i will truly miss him --please call me at 940 872 3271 ---leroy mcferrin
