Certain, Beatrice P.

Mrs. Beatrice P. Certain, life-long resident of Alachua, FL, passed away January 3, 2011 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Certain was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, where she served as a Communion Steward, and member of the Choir, Chief of the Female Protective Society, President of Lodge #3, President of Community Benefit Society, and member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her sons; Leon Bell (Regina), Gainesville, FL Simon Certain, Alachua, FL, Alan Certain, Greensboro, NC, brothers; Adolphus Merricks, James Merricks, both of Clearwater, FL, twelve grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Certain will be held, 11:00am, Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Female Protective Temple, with Rev. William R. George, Presiding, Rev. J.D. Johnson, Officiating; burial will follow in Ft. Call Cemetery, Lake Butler, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N. W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.

Mrs. Certain will repose in the Chestnut Chapel from 2-7pm, Friday, January 7, 2011 and on Saturday at the Temple from 10am until the hour of service. Family and friends are asked to meet at the home of Mrs. Certain, 14105 N. W. 167th Place, Alachua, FL, at 10:00am to form the cortege.

My prayers are with you all,altho it has been five months since MRS."B"passed,I am so sorry that no one contacted me to let me know that she went to be with the Lord.I've loved her since I was A young girl,she was my oldest son's Grand-mother,so we had A special bond.The last time I was in Alachua I came to visit her,and one of the grands?was braiding her hair,at that time I gave her my address and all my phone numbers.May God for ever bless youall and keep you in his care is my prayer.
