LOUIS CARSTENSEN Obituary
LOUIS GLENN
Louis Glenn Carstensen went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 10, 2016 at Shands Hospital. 'Glenn' was born on November 19, 1943 in Miami Florida to Louis William Carstensen and Mary Frances Carstensen.
Glenn has fought a brave and courageous battle for eight years with multiple myeloma. He was a member of the Gainesville Multiple Myeloma Support Group. This was his second family.
He is survived by the 'love of his life' of 44 years, his wife, Kathy Carstensen, son, Louis Brian Carstensen, sister, Judy Fran Hemond, mother-in-law, Joyce Dunnington, brother-in-law, Phil Dunnington (Vonya) and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, 9325 Newberry Road, Gainesville, FL, 32606.
Many thanks for all the wonderful care that was received from the medical staff at the Bone Marrow Clinic at Shands Cancer Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206, North Hollywood, CA, 91607 and/or Grace United Methodist Church, 9325 Newberry Road, Gainesville, FL 32606.

Your going to be missed very much dad. Especially on days like today. Wish we had done more together in the past few years. Hang in there mom. It's going to be a long road ahead. I am here for anything you need. Anything at all. As always I will be thinking about you each and every day, keeping you in my prayers. I love you.
