Frances Toscano Obituary

TOSCANO, FRANCES, 93 Alachua - Frances Toscano, 93, passed away at her Alachua home on Sunday, September 10. Mrs. Toscano was born in Redbank, NJ. She was a professional seamstress who began working for the Eisner's company during her early teens. She made uniforms for many U.S. servicemen during World War II. She also spent years as a volunteer in the gift shop at Holy Family Catholic Church in Miami, was a member of the Elks Auxiliary in North Miami Beach, and a member of the Golden Gators. Mrs. Toscano was preceded in death by her two husbands, Christopher Paolucci, and Marcello Toscano, her daughter Louise Paolucci, and six sisters Jenny Bellino, Tessie Ferraro, Mary Ferraro, Gracie Pinto, Annie Perry, and Rosie D'Allesseo. She is survived by her daughter Marie Davis (husband Marvin) of Alachua; grandsons Mark Davis (wife Karen) of Loxahatchee, and Marvin Davis Jr. (wife Robin) of Lafayette, GA; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Kimberly, and Leah, and one very special little girl named Dessirree Marropodi. Mrs. Toscano also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, and friends who will all miss this special lady very much. The family would to say a special thanks to the following "Special Angels" who work at the E.T. York Care Center: Cindy K., Lynette, Charlotte, Maureen, Sherry, and Lynn. A celebration of life for Mrs. Toscano will take place at the Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center Chapel on September 23, 2006 at 2 p.m. Mrs. Toscano's cremains are later being interred beside her daughter at Mt. Olivet in Redbank, N.J. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Haven Hospice.
