Juanita Blevins Obituary

Juanita Geneva Shupe Blevins, 65, of Lowgap, N.C., passed away on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 5, 1947, to the late Arlo Johnson Shupe and Laura Bell Waller.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary (Pat) Douglas and Ronnie Douglas; two grandchildren, Chelsea Douglas and Tyler Dixon; three step grandchildren, Rose, Donna and Michelle of Mount Airy, N.C.; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael (Beth) Elliott of Grayson County, Harry (Phylise) Shupe of Mount Airy, N.C., Bobby and Teresa Elliott of Ennice, N.C., and Arlo Johnson of Shupe, Jr. of Mount Airy; two sisters, Judy Edwards of Grayson County and Carol Edwards of Carroll County; 19 nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Shirley Goins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Dale Shupe.
A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Fairview Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m.
The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care and their caregivers, Chrystal, Rhonda, Wendy, Christy and Flannery.
