Elizabeth Kinlaw Obituary
Libby was born August 26, 1928 in North Wilkesboro, N.C. She is the daughter of Taylor and Zada Bush. She is preceded in death by her husband Lester "Red" C. Kinlaw and a daughter Mary Leslie Bulesco. She is survived by her grandson Jeremy Nathaniel Heston of Gastonia and his wife Cindy, her two sisters Ruth Holly of Danville, VA and Billie Bush Watson of Rome, GA., and her brother and sister-in-law John and Frances Kinlaw of Gastonia.
After graduating from High School in Danville, Virginia, she moved to Gastonia, NC to study nursing. Libby met her future husband Red while she was a student at Gaston Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked there as a nurse for over 40 years. She was a very active member of First ARP Presbyterian Church in Gastonia.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 1:30 pm at First ARP Church. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice.

I worked with Libby for many years. She served as a mentor to me when I was a "green" nurse and I always held her up as a standard to aspire to. Wonderful person.

I was a friend of Mary Leslie and was often a visitor at the Kinlaw home. Mrs. Kinlaw was a wonder "second mom" to me. She was very kind and loving. I have such happy memories of her.

Libby was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. She oriented me when I started working at Gaston Memorial in 1979 and through the years I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face and a kind word to share. She is at the top of my list of wonderful people I have known. Rosa Simmons
