Charles Keener Obituary
Born in Loudon County, Tenn., he was the son of the late Glenn Edgar and Famey Worley Keener.
Mr. Keener retired from U-Haul, Charlotte.
Mr. Keener is survived by two sons, Douglas Keener and wife Angela of Katy, Texas, and Michael Keener of Maiden; one brother, Eugene Keener and wife Donna of Lenoir City, Tenn.; one sister, Mary Ruth Miller and husband Edmund of Holland, Ohio; one grandson, Tim Keener and wife Shelley of Katy, Texas; and one great, granddaughter, Laura Keener.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Carothers Funeral Home
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.
Mr. Keener was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise Phillips Keener; brother, Homer Keener; and sister, Glynn Ann Thomas.
The family requests memorials be made to Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, N.C. 28658.
