Ruby Kirkland Obituary
She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Pink and Pauline Nichols Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her husband Odell Kirkland. She was retired from Talon, Inc and was a member of Community Pentecostal Center in Stanley.
Survivors include a son Ronnie Kirkland and wife Georgia of Dallas, a daughter Tammy Rathbone and husband Ken of Bessemer City; two sisters Ethel White of Dallas, Gail Harding of Belmont, a brother James Hayes of Gastonia; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Eddie McGinnis will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Community Pentecostal Center in Stanley.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Gaston County, PO Box 3984, Gastonia NC 28053.
Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mt Holly is in charge of arrangements.

We are so sorry Ronnie & Tammy, she was so loved by everyone and will be terribly missed.

tammy and ronnie i am so sorry for your loss. i loved ruby like a sister i will miss her very much. she was such a beautiful person. i will always remember all the good times we had together. worked with her many years and enjoyed everyone day with her.keeping all of you in my prayers. love you all. if you need anything let me know. rip ruby and odie love you both
