Kenneth Preslar Obituary
Born in Norfolk, Va. On Sept. 15, 1948, he was the son of Marian Autry Preslar and the late Mark Alexia Preslar. He served in Battery B, 6th Batal-lion, 27th Artillery Division of the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He loved the mountains, especially in the fall, reading, taking walks with his wife and son, and listening to bluegrass, country and gospel music.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Charlotte K. Preslar of Belmont; son, Christopher M. Preslar of Belmont; mother, Marian Autry Preslar of Concord; sister, Donna P. Foulks (John) of Concord; brother, Gary W. Preslar (Judy) of Cramerton; numerous aunts, uncles, cous-ins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Sharon Memorial Park Crematorium Garden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to U.S.D.A. Forest Service, Pisgah Ranger District, 1600 Pisgah Highway, Pisgah
Forest, NC 28768 attn: Belinda. Please note on the donation that it is in memory of Kenneth W. Preslar.
