Willie Murry Obituary

Willie Murry, 62, Retired U.S. Army Veteran and retired School District 11 employee passed away into eternity after a lengthy illness on July 12, 2012. He was born November 24, 1949 in Monroe, LA to the union of Willie and Mary (Johnson) Murry both parents preceded him in death; also a Sister, Marie Massey; Niece, Marie Farmer. Willie honorably served in the United States Army for 22 years and served during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was united in Holy Matrimony with Lutitia Manning on July 10, 2012 in Colorado Springs, CO. Willie loved to watch movies, travel around the country and socialize with friends and listen to old school music. He leaves to cherish in his memory his Wife, Lutitia J. Murry; Niece, Angelina Massey; Nephew, Gary Massey and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Angelus Funeral Directors with Full Military Honors. Internment Ft. Logan National Cemetery Denver, CO. Dear family of Murry,
He was a treasured friend of my sister and brother-in-law, and he was very kind to my mother who also lives in Colorado Springs and to me whenever I visited Colorado Springs. I remember times when I was in his presence how humorous he was, and how kind he was. We were all saddened when we learned of his death, but we know that he is cradled in the arms of the Lord where he no longer is suffering. God bless you and know that you are always in God's care.
