Riff will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I have wonderful memories of him and our whole family together to last a lifetime. An absolutely wonderful man who gave me the love of my life, Lisa Marie and for that I will be forever thankful to him. I have been and always will be honored to have been his son-in-law and part of his life. Until we meet again in the hereafter of our lives. All of my love and respect. May God's light shine brightly upon you.

Riff, I heard the news. I was sad for a moment, but as the memories of you rolled through my head I couldn't suppress a smile. You were always kind to a cocky little kid, and never left me feeling like the kid I was. You treated me like a man and a friend. You may have left us, but I will never forget you. Thank you and God bless you my friend.

Riff will be missed by ALL the people who's lives he touched while he lived. He had a great affect on the life of the most important person in my life. He belived in her and proved to her she is a intellegent and beautiful person. Riff gave both of us the courage we needed to change our lives and be together. The world has lost a man who cared about every person he met. He has the respect of me and any one he ever met.

I have known Riff since my childhood. He was a great man who brought joy and laughter to all those who were blessed enough to have known him. He was also a wonderful friend and companion to my mother. To have Riff taken from us this soon is a tragedy.I will always have very fond memories of Riff and he will never be forgotten.

Dearest Lisa and Renee,
Your dad was such a good man and good friend. Even though there were many miles between us we remained close over the years. Every time he came back east he would spend an evening with us and we would laugh the time away reminiscing. He will be missed but will remain forever in our hearts.

I knew of Riff many years ago and he was a very stand up man. As time went by it came to be that I was blessed to be apart of the O'Brien family and got to know Riff more personally, and got to discover how funny, stubborn, honorable and more important how his love of family was to him. He will be missed. To Sandy and to Lisa I love you I know he will be there lovingly watching above.

Sandy - I was struck by the news about Riff. He seemed so natural for you to be with, and my heart breaks for your loss. Riff and I have known each other since 1973. He became a good friend then, and I am pleased to be able to consider him a friend still today. I'm saddened by his passing, but hope that he'll continue to live on for all of us through our great memories of him and for a very long time.
My regrets for not being able to attend.
