William Edward "Ed" Phelps

William Edward "Ed" Phelps, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully in the mountains of Colorado at the age of 53. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 15, 1957, he graduated from Manitou Springs High School in 1975. After graduation, Ed began working locally in the construction industry and later became a custom deck builder working throughout Colorado. Ed enjoyed the outdoors and was a skilled fly fisherman, avid hunter and a Colorado history buff. He will be remembered to all that knew and loved him as a man of few words, gentle natured and having a generous heart. Ed leaves behind his sister, Lori Fryt and her husband Mark of Chipita Falls; niece, Federica Brandi and his aunt and uncle, Amanda and Barry Asmus of Phoenix, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Noni Phelps and his faithful dog, Rover. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 4:00-7:00PM, Friday, July 22, 2011 at Marcroft Hall, 9105 Chipita Park Road, Chipita Park, Colorado. Mass will be held in Ed's name at 8:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 W. Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs.
