William Spurling Obituary

William H. Spurling, 53 year resident of Eastern Colorado and Colorado Springs passed away July 11, 2010, in Colorado Springs. He was born on March 12, 1929 in Mendota, Illinois, to James Harold and Lucile (Hefflin) Spurling. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois. He is survived by two sisters, Catherine (Doll) Christensen of Gross Pointe, MI, Betty Jean Whitinger of Napa, CA and a brother Joseph (Joe) Spurling of Peosta, IA; five children, Vicky and husband Randy Gibbs, Gary Spurling, Donna and husband Jon Visscher, Kevin Spurling and Rhonda (Spurling) Eurich; six grandchildren, Kyle Spurling, Matt, Chris and Justin Spurling and Hailey and Lindsey Visscher. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00-7:00PM Wednesday, July 14th at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade. Services will be held Thursday, July 15th at 9:00AM at Swan Law Chapel, Pastor John Spurling of Gateway Church, Southlake, TX officiating.

Vicky,Gary,Donna,Kevin ,& Rhonda, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. I have several cherished memories of growing up together and your dad. I so wanted to be there to give my condolences in person. May he rest in peace. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for making dad an honorary pallbearer. I'm sure he would of been there if it wasn't for his present situation.

We were very sorry to learn of the death of Bill Spurling. He was such a good man and so important to his family and friends here in Falcon. As you mourn for his passing know that we are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. It is very hard to lose a parent...it seems like you are so alone when this happens.
