Barbara "Bonnie" J. (Watt) Meikle
1943 - 2018
Barbara "Bonnie" J. Meikle, 74, of Colorado Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday March 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born on November 25, 1943 in Cleveland, OH, daughter of Hamilton and Jean (Baker) Watt. She graduated (1962) from New Canaan, HS, New Canaan, CT. She received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, OH.
Bonnie taught primary school in Anaheim, CA, IL, WI, the Philippians, and Germany. She came to know the Lord and was married on August 10, 1974 to Terry A. Meikle of Gustavus, OH. They had four children (John (Melissa) Meikle of Melbourne, FL, Sally (Michael) Jahnke of Colby, WI, Phillip (Carla) Meikle of Germany, Andrew (Pam) Meikle of Loveland, CO, and 13 grandchildren.
Terry and Bonnie lived in Sheboygan, WI before moving to Colorado Springs in 2001. Singing was a joy to her. She sang in the church choir and various choirs throughout her life including in Sheboygan and Colorado Springs Chorale. She loved studying the Bible. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and yet we rejoice that she is now present with her Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
Visitation on Thursday March 8, 2018 from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM at Austin Bluffs Evangelical Free Church 3435 Maizeland Road.
Funeral Service on Friday March 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Austin Bluffs Evangelical Free Church 3435 Maizeland Road.

My deepest sympathy to Terry and the family. So very sorry! Praying for you the comfort of His joy, the joy of His salvation, and the peace of His presence. I will always remember Bonnie and her lovely voice. I also have wonderful memories of our mission trip to Belgium with her and the church group.
