Julian Axel Jorgensen
August 22, 1939 - March 16, 2015
Julian "Joe" Axel Jorgensen departed from this life while in the company of his extended family at Eagle Ridge of Grand Valley, late Monday night, leaving behind many generations that will forever love and miss him.
He was born, the younger of two boys, to Jesse James and Agnes (Bowman) Jorgensen on August 22, 1939 in Pasadena, California. He served in the US Air Force from September 9, 1957 to May 25, 1961. He was stationed in Tule, Greenland.
He is survived by his five daughters, Verna (David) Murphy, Julie (Mark) Fisher, Cindy Cleland, Pamela Robinson and Evelyn (Cameron) Whitaker; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He had a passion for cars, football, boxing and politics. He wrote many times to The Daily Sentinel's Letter to the Editors regarding the Fair Tax and was a lifetime NRA Member.
Services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, at 10 a.m., March 27, 2015.
