Kenneth Boettcher Obituary

Kenneth Boettcher
February 9, 1960 - June 29, 2014

Kenneth Boettcher started his journey to be with his Heavenly Father on June 29, 2014, at Family Health West after 15 months of illness, including losing his eye sight.
Born on February 9, 1960, in Phoenix, AZ, he moved to San Jose, CA in 1968, where he spent his childhood. In 1983, he moved to Grand Junction, CO to remain close to his parents. While growing up, Ken enjoyed rock hunting with his dad, grandma, and uncle, and learned lapidary. While in Colorado, he enjoyed the outdoor life whether it was working as a Traffic Control Specialist and Security in the oil fields or spending his free time fishing and hunting with his father.
After losing his eyesight, Ken became involved with the National Federation of the Blind of CO - Grand Valley Chapter where he was Vice President. Ken was also a member of the 11th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ken will be greatly missed by his parents, Allen and Shirley Boettcher of Whitewater, CO; sisters, Faith Dupre of Palisade; Cynthia Boettcher-Hale (JC) of Grand Junction; his nephews, Joseph Dupre of Grand Junction, and Kenneth Reeves of Palisade, many friends, and his cats, Princess and Kia.
