Tiffany Marsh

Tiffany Leigh Westcott Marsh, age 47, passed away on December 3, 2016 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri after a six month illness.
Tiffany was a gifted Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for more than 20 years. She focused her life work in helping children and adolescents that were struggling with mental health issues.
Tiffany started her career working as a Crisis Interventionist with Children's Home and Aid Society. She would later transition into the Child Family Therapist at Gateway Regional Medical Center working on the inpatient unit and providing outpatient counseling. Tiffany co-facilitated the HEROS program where she worked with local Fire Departments to address issues with Juvenile Fire setters. Tiffany worked closely with School Social Workers throughout the Metro East area to transition children and adolescents back into their school environment.
In 2001, Tiffany along with two colleagues started Cornerstone Counseling in Maryville, Illinois. She embraced this new venture as an opportunity to help young people address issues before they were in a critical state. She provided groups as well as individual counseling for individuals struggling with loss and grief, mood disorders, ADHD, as well as family issues and parenting challenges.
Tiffany was the past President of Illinois Counselors Association (Southern Region). She was very devoted to promoting the counseling association and bringing excellence to the Chapter. Tiffany was a tremendous asset and advocate for mental health issues to the Illinois Counselors Association.
Tiffany devoted her life's work to enriching the lives of others. She took pride in knowing that she had made an impact that help young people learn how to better cope and succeed. Tiffany was a "Big Sister" and loved the time that she spent with her "little sis" Alyssa Weller.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Kyle Marsh; father Tim Tighe of Hamel IL; and biological father Jay Westcott of Honolulu, HI; sister Valerie Ann, and husband Dusan Djordjevich, of San Mateo, CA; mother in law, Patricia Marsh of Maryville, IL; sister in law, Kimberly (Marsh) Brokaw and husband Brian of Bethalto, IL; brother in law, Kelley Marsh and wife Becca of Bunker Hill, IL.; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces
Funeral Services are being handled through Irwin Chapel in Glen Carbon.
All services will be at the First Baptist Church in Maryville.
Visitation is Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4-8pm and the funeral is on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10 am.
Because Tiffany would forget to water her flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois and/or Fairmont City Christian Activity Center.
