Robert Stille Obituary
He was born January 6, 1956 in Alton, Ill., the son of Wanda M. (Johnston) Stille and the late Robert C. Stille.
Robert attended St. Boniface Grade School and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School.
Robert was a carpenter. He was a nationally recognized swimmer, a member of Carpenter's Local 378 and a member of AFSCME Local 799.
Robert is survived by one son, Mitchell Stille of Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, Michael J. (Sheri) Stille of Peachtree City, Ga.; one sister, Marci (Steven) McCormick of Edwardsville; two nephews, Ryan and Clayton Stille of Ga.; and two nieces, Shelby and Jayme McCormick of Edwardsville.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Stille.
A private visitation and service was held Monday, Aug. 8. Deacon Dan Corbertt officiated.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon, Ill. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Glen-Ed Pantry.

Dear Bobby's family: I probably haven't seen Bobby since HS, but I will always remember his gregarious nature, wonderful (booming) laugh, athleticism, and so handsome. My sister (Cindy) and I also thought he and Kathy Zubal are probably having a great time right now. However, I am so sorry for your loss of Bobby. Such a sad time. Thoughts and prayers to you all. I remember Bob driving the speed boat on Dunlap Lake, amd driving the Corvette around town. A great time to be young in Edwardsville. My deepest sympathies and prayers to both families with their recent, tragic loses.

Remembering lining up next to Bob for years while on the Montclair swim team and promptly getting beat, but then making up for it on the dynamic relay team with him as the anchor. Fond memories with that, school, etc. RIP Bob. Condolences to all. .
