C.E. Renfroe's Obituary

C.E. Renfroe, Jr. 80, of Christoval died Thursday morning, November 20, 2014. C.E. was born December 20, 1933 in San Angelo, Texas to Charles Elmer and Gladys Powell Renfroe. He is survived by three half-brothers, Jack Renfroe and wife Lana of San Angelo, John Renfroe of Boerne, James Renfroe and wife Mary of Pipe Creek, nephews Ryan Renfroe, Matthew Renfroe, and Chuck Renfroe and, nieces Sarah Renfroe and Debbie Norton Powell of Debary, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Cathy Norton. He was a graduate of Melvin High School and Howard Payne University.

Prior to his becoming a custom farmer and rancher, C.E. was a member of PRCA, competing as a calf roper in the summer. The remainder of the year C.E. taught school, coached boys football at Bradford Elementary and coached girls basketball at Lake View Junior High in San Angelo. As a rancher C.E. was very involved in organizations involving Angora goats. His Angora goats won the prestigious British Mohair Spinners Award three times.

A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Doug Hurt of Brownwood, will be held Saturday, November 29th at 10 A.M. at the Christoval Community Center.

The family requests memorials to the American Angora Goat Breeders Association or to a charity of your choice.
