Frans Bloodworth Obituary

Frans DaNaune Guest Bloodworth

San Angelo

Born Feb. 19, 1934, to William Gobel Guest and Dorotha Cornelius Guest in Deport, Texas, she joined her loved ones in heaven on Aug. 10, 2015.

DaNaune moved with her parents to West Texas when she was in grade school, graduating from Lubbock High School. She married James William (Bill) Bloodworth, Aug. 18, 1951. They had four children together.

DaNaune had always had a desire to complete her education and went back to school earning both her bachelor (1967) and master's degree (1971) in business administration from Texas Tech University. DaNaune began her teaching career in 1967, at Coronado High School in Lubbock. Bill's job transferred him to Dallas in 1970, and she completed her teaching career at North Mesquite High School.

DaNaune accepted Jesus as her savior as a child and never wavered from that commitment to her Lord. After she and Bill retired from their jobs, they went right to working full time for the Lord. They were avid RVers going from mission opportunity to the next serving wherever they were needed from 1991-1998. They visited all 50 states in their ministry career. They served in Laguna Park, Texas, from 1998, to 2008, moving to San Angelo in 2008, living and serving the Baptist Retirement Community faithfully.

DaNaune was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Gary David Bloodworth.

Survivors include loving husband of 64 years, Bill Bloodworth; brother John Guest; sons Vernon (Vickey) Bloodworth and William E. (Martha) Bloodworth; daughter Cheryl (Neal) Duffey; grandchildren Heather (Charley) Newton, Tamberlyn (Ryan) Burrow, Lisa (Joel) Townsend, Bryan (HannahLee) Duffey, Stacey (Thomas) Owen, Amanda (Mark) Hammer, J.W. Duffey, Angela (Daniel) Collier and Becky Bloodworth; and nine great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Richardson officiating. Graveside service is at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.

Hearing DaNaune's literacy testimony lead to God's calling me to literacy ministry. DaNaune trained me to be a teacher and then told me she wanted me to take her position as literacy consultant with Dallas Baptist Association. DaNaune was definitely used by the Lord through her literacy ministries throughout Texas. She will be greatly missed. Thank you, Lord, for DaNaune's faithfulness.

What a precious lady. She was my G.A. leader about a million years ago and even now I am thankful for her sweet spirit and gentle wisdom. Marilyn (Mote) Linville

Keeping you all in thought and prayer. We know Lisa and Joel thought so highly of a wonderful grandmother. May your precious memories and the knowledge that others are praying for you give comfort in the days ahead. May our Lord hold you close in the palms of His mighty hands. Love, Gary & Rhenea Webb

It was my pleasure to know DaNaune through our clog dancing classes. She was upbeat and fun to be with and she will be missed by all who knew her. Goodby friend, until we dance in heaven. Sally Lehr
