Robert Goetsch Obituary

GOETSCH, ROBERT Howard City Robert Goetsch, age 77, of Howard City, passed away on January 30, 2014 at Spectrum Health Kelsey Campus. He was born in Winfield Twp., the son of Arno and Helen (Willison) Goetsch. During his working years he worked as a claims adjuster for 34 years. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Bob loved his family where he always put family first. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, rebuilding vehicles and trimming Christmas Trees In 1959, he married Carol who survives, also surviving are daughter, Deborah (Michael) Ensley of Sand Lake; three sons, Mark (Camie) of Grand Haven, Bruce (Lisa) of Ohio, Arno of Howard City; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Brad, Adam, Ryan, Jessica, Aleshia and Kyle; four great grandchildren, Aiden, Payton, William and Ellie; and one great-great grand baby on the way; two sisters, Donna (AL) Harty of Hawaii, Dorothy Bluementhal of Chicago; brother, Jack (Lucy) Hansing of Gowen; two step sisters, Janice and Ray Panks of Greenville, Sally Rector of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of his life will take place on Monday at 5 PM at the Howard City VFW Hall with Pastor Brad Brillhart officiating with inurnment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice may be left at the Hall where friends may call on Monday from 4 PM until time of services at 5 PM. Dear Carol & Family - I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My family had so many great times seeing Bob and your family on our annual Goetsch Christmas Tree visit. I am quite certain that Bob has rejoined his Mom & Dad and other loved ones in the Land that Knows No Sorrows. God Bless You and Your Family in these difficult days.
