Really sorry to hear about Ernie's death. I met Ernie when we used to sing with Maxine Hattem's gang at different venues around Grand Rapids. Ernie was a very talented musician and singer and a very kind and friendly man. I used to request that he do the song "Lili Marlene". He had a smooth resonating voice which was calming. Even though I haven't seen Ernie for many years, he is still firm in my memory. God Bless Ernie and his family and friends.
