Lawrence Okray Obituary
Lawrence Okray, 75, Green Bay, died at his home on Friday, July 1, 2011. He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Portage, Wis., to the late Leonard and Bertha (Shulfer) Okray.
Larry enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and especially working in his yard.
Lawrence is survived by his three sons, James, Brian, David (Sandra) Okray; four sisters, Geneivere Delvaux, Leah Rowe, Evelyn Garrity, Marie Hilbert; and three grandchildren, Christopher Gilse, Heather Okray, Stephenie Okray; two brothers-in-law, Mike Hilbert, Carl Rowe; a sister-in-law, Jalane Okray; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his son, Michael; one brother, Robert; two sisters, Irene Crooks, Lucille Ketterhagen; and special friend, Mary.
Visitation will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 211 North Maple St., Green Bay, where a mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Howard Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
The family would like to thank his neighbors, Steve and Rosie, Debbie Keifert, and his nieces, Deb Smith, Laurie Shepherd; nephew, Rick Ness, for all their loving care and also would like to thank Unity Hospice staff, especially Ricki, Ashley, Sonja, and Amanda with a special thank you. Also to LaVonne Brag, Nancy Parkhurst for their loving care.
