Ida Jandrin Obituary

Jandrin, Ida

Ida Jandrin passed away on August 2, 2012. She was born on August 26, 1916, to the late Florian and Lena Ferron. Ida was born on the family farm in Casco, WI. She was the only sister to three brothers: Manual, Bill and Cy. Sadly all of her brothers are now deceased. Ida has many fond memories of growing up on the family farm with her brothers. They all worked very hard, as they had many horses and cows to attend to. On October 23, 1934 Ida married Frank Jandrin who on February 20, 1979 preceded her in death. Together they raised four wonderful children, Darrell, Carol, Ron and Sherri. The children all reside in Wisconsin. Ida and Frank were also blessed with 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Ida is survived by her children, Darrell Jandrin, Carol Gerrits, Ron (Gail) Jandrin and Sherri (Lari) Wagnitz. The following grandchildren, Lori Ann (David) Mogan and their children Sara and John; Renee (Bill) Landry, and their children Amie and Weston; Todd (Lorie) Jandrin and their children, Dustin and Megan; Scott (Lisa) Jandrin and their children Alexandra and Hannah; Tim Jandrin and daughter, Kalanai; Roxane (Jeff) Knuese and their son, Alec; Kevin (Linda) Dessell and their sons, Matt (Tracy) and Dustin; Terri (Jim) Barth and their sons, Brandon and Cody; Joey Jandrin and his daughter, Lita; Tracy (Brett) Janus and their children, Tyler and Tristan; Cory (Gretchen) Jandrin and their children, Rae Lee and Cole; Tina Wagnitz, Tammi Wagnitz with children, Blake and Emeri; two great great grandchildren, Vinny and Ava LaCosse; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; daughter, Laverne; great grandson, Chad Wagnitz; three brothers, Manual, Bill, and Cy; sons-in-law, Donald Dessell and Ken Gerrits; daughter-in-law, Dottie Jandrin.

During World War II, Ida worked at Algoma Plywood Factory where the factory made airplane wings for the war effort. Ida had many happy memories after moving to Green Bay in the mid-forties. She and Dad purchased a cottage on Half Moon Lake which they remodeled to enjoy the many weekends up north with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Ida also enjoyed her stay at the Renaissance Assisted Living for 8 years and 4 months. She was very active and joined their many activities, playing cards, bingo and entertainment. The Renaissance staff is professional and really cares about their tenants. She always enjoyed playing cards twice a week with her children and enjoyed playing cards with her sister-in-law, Evelyn Ferron and her daughter, Shirley.

Visitation at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, University Ave. at Baird Street, Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Harry Hafeman officiating.
