Carl Smeester Obituary
Carlton (Carl) Smeester, 85, New Franken, died peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. He was born to the late Henry and Ruth (Routhieaux) Smeester on Oct. 21, 1926. On June 28, 1947, Carl married Alvina Zehms at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. She preceded him in death Sept. 4, 2009.
Carl enjoyed fishing, going for breakfast with his friends and tinkering in his garage.
He is survived by his children, Bob (Carol) Smeester, New Franken; Lisa (Efren) Sierra, Green Bay; son-in-law, Andrew Jeanquart; seven grandchildren, Rob (Vicki) Jeanquart, Wendy (Ken) Simonson, Stacy (Brent) Rouer, Tod (Lisa) Jeanquart, Heidi (Martin) Santos, Jamie DeKeyser, Travis DeKeyser; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Alvina Bargmann, Melvin (Dorothy) Smeester, Henry (Phyllis) Smeester. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Jeanquart; a granddaughter, Lacey DeKeyser; great-grandchildren, Zachery Jeanquart and Angel DeKeyser.
Friends may call at Wiesner-Massart, Casco on Thursday June 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
Carl's family wishes to thank the staff at Heartland Hospice for their care and comfort. A thank you to Carl's neighbors and friends, especially Dave and Toni Mertens and Yvonne Pennings for all their kind acts and support.

Uncle Carl. I can remember quite a few years ago, you took me fishing, I thought I had a huge fish on the line, you even helped me reel in the line, as it got to the boat you realized it was only seaweed, we both laughed so hard. I`ll never forget those wonderful memories.
