Mark Loritz Obituary

Loritz, Mark R.

Mark R. Loritz, 64, of Abrams, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He was born August 19, 1949, to the late Raymond and Lorraine (Karchinski) Loritz in New Franken. Mark proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Conflict. On November 11, 1972, he married Juliann Maes at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from Procter & Gamble in 2004 after 28 years of service.

Mark was an avid sportsman and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He built his homestead from a bean field and grew it into his own forest. He served his family well and most of all, he loved being with his grandchildren and his faithful furry companion, "Griz".

Survivors include his wife, Juliann; sons, Matthew (Jill) Loritz, Craig (Cindy) Loritz; three grandchildren, Kayla Stroschein, Josephine Loritz and Megan Loritz; great-grandson, Kason Zank; brother, Steve (Peggy) Loritz; two sisters, Barbara Pischner, Ellen (Kevin) Stiller; brother-in-law, Richard Maes; three sisters-in-law, Sue Loritz, Fran (Ray) Wishneski, Kathy (Terry) Mihlbauer and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Jacob Loritz; brother, Dennis Loritz; sister, Mary Tess; father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Lorraine Maes.

Friends and family may call from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 28, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

The family would like to thank the staff at Unity Hospice, especially Missy and Amy for all their care and concern.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mark's name.
