Pagenkopf, Rhonda

Rhonda Rae Pagenkopf, 68, of Algoma, passed away at Bellin Memorial Hospital on Thursday January 5, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1948 in Laona, WI to the late Raymond and Clarann (Enders) Matelski. She was a graduate of Niagra High School in 1967. She was married to Leslie Pagenkopf. Rhonda worked on the assembly line at Emerson Electric for 15 years until forced into retirement.

Rhonda is survived by her husband Leslie; children Kevin Hayes, Bobbie Hayes, and Jesse Pagenkopf; one step-son Buddy Pagenkopf; grandchildren Haley Crowe, Remington Gigstead, Raeann Gigstead, Jesse James Pagenkopf, and Connor Hayes; great-grandchildren Brennan Lamer, Isabella Palazo, and Khailia Crowe; brothers Ray (Billie) Matelski, and Tim (Jodie) Matelski; sisters Denise (Rick) Skarvan and Sandi (Glen) Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Clarann; father-in-law and mother-in-law Harold (Alice) Pagenkopf; and nephew Barry Pagenkopf.

Per the family's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Algoma is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.wiesnermassart.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bellin Hospice.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Bellin Hospital, the Algoma Police Department and Algoma Rescue.

Dear Les and family, I'm so very sad to hear the passing of Rhonda. Les Thank you for calling me to let me know of her passing. Rhonda and I had a lot of fun walking from her house to mine in Howard with our little radios just a playing and we would sing~~~~~I think the one thing that I can still hear is her Laugh. She laughed hilarious at me or whatever she thought was funny. God Bless all of you and may God carry you through all the days a head. Rest in Peace my friend.
