Bernice Josephine (Brice) (Arendt) Derricks was born July 20, 1924 in New Franken. She married her soul mate Robert Derricks, Sr in Lincoln, Nebraska. Robert passed away on November 28, 1994.

Survivors are one son Robert Derricks, Jr (Cathy); one daughter Bonnie Derricks Daul (Robert); one grandson James Derricks (Jill); two great grandchildren: Jase William Derricks and Jasalyn Philomena Derricks.

To those I love and those who love me. When I am gone release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do.

You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years together. I have you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I travelled on alone. So grieve for me if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart, I won't be far away for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all my love around you soft and clear. Then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home".

Bernice's life was like the mysteries of the Rosary; joyful- sorrowful-glorious-luminous mysteries. Mysteries of Light so we'll be faithful to our rosary as a family chain that binds us.

Our memory of her and Dad is a gift from God that death cannot destroy.

Real angels on earth do not have their wings- that comes later in Heaven.

I thank God for all who have taken me through the worst journey of my life. I don't have to mention names because you know who you are. So from the very heart and soul of my Being. I thank you and I will never forget you. Love always, Bonnie
