I was shocked and saddened to learn from Katherine Freeman this morning that Earl had passed away. We had a lot of fun growing up, trying to hide from Uncle Clarence we wouldn't have to work on the farm. My brother, Curt, tried to keep in touch over the years talking about the history of our family. Our prayers are with you.

Steve, I was visiting Mother earlier today at which time she informed me of the passing of your Father. We were both distressed, knowing how committed you have been to his care over the years, and how difficult this will be for you. Before leaving Easley I went by Robinson's to leave a message, but it was after hours. Please know how grateful we are for your care of Mother, and how our hearts reach out to you at this time. Steve,

Uncle Earl knew what it was to stand by a sister, Sarah Mae(our mother), who needed his regular Monday visits to lift her spirits as she cared for our father, who was bed-ridden for seven years. He was a caring, knowledgeable brother that she consulted - especially since all three of her daughters lived in another state/country due to their husbands' careers. He was a constant support to our brother and Mother through years of care-giving to our father.
Your father was a noble character. His ready smile and jovial voice left those he visited feeling uplifted. He was a giver.

Lovingly,
Carol Gibson Ford
(Daughter of Sarah Mae and Uncle Earl's niece)

Sorry for your loss but I know Heaven sure did gain a SPECIAL man. In my short time of knowing him I learned so much. I'm very grateful that Mr . Freeman was placed in my life to open my heart just a little. We shared many laughs over our rice krispie treats:)He was a kind and patient man who I never once heard complain,he always smiled trying to make sure everyone else was okay.If you all need anything please call. Thanks again for giving me the chance to care for such an Angel of a man!
