Greenville
Frank G. Hawkins, Sr., 91, husband of Ruth Cooper Hawkins, died Friday, September 11, 2015.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James C. and Jerdie Cox Hawkins.
Frank served in the Unites States Army where he received the Bronze Star for Meritorious service in European Theater of Operation. He was a member of Reedy River Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Frank G. Hawkins, Jr. (Beverly) and Mike T. Hawkins (Lisa); three grandchildren, Brooke Kleinfelter ( Adam), Derek Hawkins ( Jodi), and Brad Hawkins (Katherine); two great grandchildren, Mollie Ruth Kleinfelter and McKenzie Grace Hawkins.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ansel W. Hawkins, Fletcher J. Hawkins, and J. Barney Hawkins; and sister, Susan R. Hawkins.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at Reedy River Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reedy River Baptist Church Capital Campaign, 871 N Hwy 25 Bypass, Greenville, SC 29617.

Our hearts are broken, but we know Frank is in the best hands. We will miss him, he was the sweetest man! Always a hug and kind word...he always looked for us in church.

Ms. Ruth, Frank, Jr. and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Although I have known the family a very short time, I have seen the love so many had for Mr. Hawkins. Our prayers are with the family at this most difficult time.
