Central
Shelby Ann Porter, beloved wife of Charles B. Porter, Sr., went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2013 at her home.
Born on December 18, 1947 in Oconee County, she was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Anderson.
Ann Porter (Ms. Ann) was retired from Hardee's in Central.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Sandra Anne Watson and Robin Porter both of Central; a son, Charles B. Porter, Jr. (Lynn) of Six Mile; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five sisters, Elmyra (Fred) Standridge of Anderson, Marilyn Moats of Anderson, Lutricia (Louis) Willimon of Pickens, Lynn (Hal) Dunlap of Pendleton and Laverne Crews of Anderson; and three brothers, Lony (Judy) Haynes of Pendleton, Jack (Peggy) Haynes of Anderson and Harvey (April) Haynes of Pendleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.G. and Helen Haynes.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens.
No services are planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 5901 Hwy 187, Anderson, SC 29625 or Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Rd, Seneca, SC 29672.
