Mrs. Floree Jamison Davis, age 95, of 111 North 4th Street, Easley, SC, and formerly of Central, SC passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013. Mrs. Davis was born in Central South Carolina to Lawrence and Cassie Welborn Jamison and grew up in Liberty, South Carolina. She was the fifth child and oldest daughter in the family of twelve children.

Mrs. Davis married Reverend Lyda Davis on February 19, 1939 and remained by his side until his death on May 25, 1990. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the White Oak Springs Baptist Church where she served as a Kindergarten Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Woman's Missionary Union Auxiliary.

She was also a member of the Oolenoy Association of Pastors' Wives, Norwood Order of Eastern Stars #201, Daughters of Isis #184, and WMWA # Club 25,

Mrs. Floree Davis was a dedicated employee of Clemson University for 31 years where she worked as member of the Laundry Service.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 51 years, Lyda, and her mother, father, and six brothers; Roy, Claude, Jeff, James, TJ, and DeWhitt. She is survived by two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Ruby Lomax, Ms. Beulah Jamison, Mr. Elmo Jamison, Mr. Ernest Jamison, and Mr. Henry Jamison (Thanell).

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm at White Oak Spring Baptist Church with interment in the White Oak Spring Baptist Church Cemetery family plot..

Family and friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Davis on Friday evening May 17, 2013 at The Luther Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services,(formerly the S.C. Franks Chapel Of Remembrance), 301 E. Main Street, Liberty, SC, (864-843-6309). She will be placed in state at the church on Saturday at 1 PM.
