Delores Sherbert Obituary

Delores Sherbert, 58, of Fountain Inn, died Saturday, March 31, 2001.

Born in Columbus, Ga., she was the daughter of Wayne Eckstrom Sr. of California and the late Doris McLamore Eckstrom. She was retired from Kemet and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Mauldin.

Surviving in addition to her father are daughters, Kathy S. Barton of Fountain Inn, Donna S. Johnson of Gray Court, Wanda Gamache of Sandy Run and Kimberly Hill of Piedmont; sons, Harold L. Sherbert Jr. of Taylors, Michael R. Sherbert of Fountain Inn and Robert E. Sherbert, stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; mother-in-law Polly Hardy of Mauldin; brother, Wayne Eckstrom Jr. of California; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Scott Eugene Sherbert.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Service: 3:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Burial: Graceland East Memorial Park.

The family is at the home of Harold L. Sherbert Sr., 958 Fargo St., Mauldin.
