Greenville
C. Don Carson, 99, of Greenville, widower of Willie Bell "Bill" Vaughn Carson, died Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Brevard, NC, he was a son of the late William Thomas Carson, Sr. and Estelle Cash Carson. Prior to his retirement, he worked with Duke Power for over 40 years as an appliance supervisor. He was a member of Augusta Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Richard S. Carson and wife Linda, and Larry D. Carson; four grandchildren, Kelly McGregor, Richard Carson, Jr., Chad Carson, and Caroline Carson; numerous great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ms. Ruby Hawkins.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial to follow the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Augusta Heights Baptist Church, 3018 Augusta St., Greenville, SC 29605.
