Genevieve Bosson Obituary
Genevieve Bosson (Sorbo) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29th, 2012 in her Manhattan apartment with her mother by her side. Gen was a loving mother and is survived by her children Michael John Sorbo, of East Haven, CT and to Samantha Bosson Sorbo, of Greenwich, CT as well as their father Michael Sorbo, of East Haven, CT. Gen was also a loving daughter to Lewis and Mafalda Bosson and a grandmother to Zachary and Ryan Gabriel. Along with countless friends, Genevieve leaves behind siblings George and Rose, Dana Point, CA, Frank and Christine, Woodbridge, CA, Ralph and Lynette, Guilford, CT, Michael and Cynthia, Woodbury, CT, Angela, Norwalk, CT, Mildred and James, Guilford, CT, Marie, Madison, CT, Julie Smith, San Diego, CA, and good friends Daniel and Jessica Fass of Greenwich, CT. Genevieve was born on November 5th, 1961 in New Haven, CT and spent much of her professional career as a chief radiation therapist. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her niece Magdalene Treichel wrote "The world felt a little different when I woke up this morning. I guess that's what happens when a powerful spirit takes back her place with God. Her smile brightened so many people and I know she is already making an impact on heaven as we speak…" Genevieve celebrated and cherished life everyday, and her strength and resilience will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 8th, 2012 at the Madison Surf Club in Madison, CT from 4:30-8:30pm. All are welcome.

I am so sorry to hear today of Gen's passing. She was always so upbeat and full of life, when we were in school. She had a vest for life and never was without a smile. She surely will be missed by many. I pray for her and her family.
