George Valentine Obituary
He was employed at McCalls Magazine as a photo engraver, and upon their closing was an employee at Bloomingdale's until 1990. He was an amateur filmmaker having won numerous awards, including an honorable mention award from the Cannes Amateur Film Festival. He enjoyed music, had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed the friendship and laughter of his neighbors and friends. He was a wonderful dad.
He is survived by his children, McGill Valentine, Audrey Telhiard, Evelyn Valentine, and Gary Valentine; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Robertson Valentine who died on January 18, 1938 and his second wife, Eva Robertson Valentine who died on June 7, 1985, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to V.N.H.C., 1029 East Main Street, Stamford, CT

Thinking of you, Evelyn - it is the end of an era. He was a delightfully charming man. Will remember him walking down the path to your house with that wonderful cane from Grindelwald.

My sympathies for your loss. My dad & my brother, both worked with George at McCalls. Dad, passed away in 1978. My brother, Bruce, is retired and lives in FL. I will let him know.
