Michael touched many lives in the metal scene and beyond. He will be sorely missed and remembered! We became close friends shortly after he moved to CA in the '90s, and I had the pleasure of jamming with him many times. All best wishes to the Grant family and the rest of Mike's friends.

Michael's family, I knew him form living in LA it was only 8 brief years he was in my life but they were the best years ever. He was like a brother to me we had so much in common Amusement parks, making people smile, METAL, the beach, our love for California. So much other things. I will cherish all the memories.
My deepest sympathies you lost a son, brother, godfather, uncle. I lost a best friend. May he rest in peace. I will forever miss and love him and will NEVER forget him.

Dear Grant Family,
Michael was the lead singer in our band Morpheus in high school. His talent, passion and dedication for music was already readily apparent then. While he brought an incredibly serious attitude toward the band, he also always had us in stitches with his wonderful sense of humor and unbelievable impersonations.
I lost touch with Mike throughout the years, but always made an effort to follow his career in music (I work in the music industry) so I was incredibly proud to see him living his dream and performing to so many adoring fans. Not many of us have the wherewithal, the drive and the dedication to know exactly what we want out of life and then really go for it, but Mike had that and a lot of people could learn something from him. I am so proud to have shared the stage with him, but also to have called him a friend.
My father had the Morpheus recordings we made remastered some time ago, but I never had the opportunity to give it to Mike. I would love for you to have it if you would like. Please contact me and I will be happy to send it your way.
My heart goes out to your family and I wish you peace and healing in this incredibly difficult time.
