Tyler, Word can not express what you meant to so many. You were a great friend. After thinking about all the times we had the one thing that stands out the most about you was your loyalty to those who call you friend. We will all miss you and pray that your family will find closure in knowing that you were a great person who cared so much for so many.

To all who new and loved my brother- Tyler,

I cannot remember a bad time spent with him. So much was on his mind, most of it we will never know. I do know that his love for friends and family could not have been stronger. You all touched him and gave him that strength, for that I am grateful.

I ask that you all remember the special moments spent with him, I am sure that there must be countless times to be recalled, but please do. Smile when you think of him, it will be easy.

I cannot begin to express how much I will miss him. I do know how much it hurts. He came into my life when I was three years old and he will never leave it. Not a day will go by without a thought or more of my beloved brother Tyler Christian Chasteen.

Godspeed Tyler- fly like the wind!!

I will look for you in that big saloon in the sky. Have a drink ready for me. We will laugh some more good friend.

-Ryan

Thanks for being there for him, he loved you all. I welcome any and all correspondence about him, please feel free to e-mail me with your stories. I missed so much of his adult life, your stories may help ease my pain.

Tyler,

We're going to miss you so much! We thought of you as Uncle Tyler. We had a great time going canoeing with you and Raquel. You made us happy and made us laugh all the time. I hope you don't care if we take Raquel with us on our next canoe trip. Good bye Uncle Tyler.

My cat in the hat, and all that, cooler than the underside of my pillow.

He always said "my brotha from anotha motha".

We ran the streets and talked a buncha' smack, and his friends called him 'T DOG', cuz he always had our back.

Whole lotta bad luck always floated his way, but he fought his hardest, day after day.

He fought his hardest, from what I could see, for his daughter Raquel, a great woman to be.

Every conversation he an I had, he always was proud, to be the one she called 'Dad'.

Tyler is our friend, the best one for me, everyday in our thoughts, he will always be.

My own kids included, they would always say, "When is Tyler commin' over?" He would never forget to play!

He had a special gift and it's hard to explain, he was good to us all, no way to complain.

He spoke most highly of his daughter and mom, as a friend I'll tell you, he's wrote a great song.

His jokes an laughter means the world to his friends, most of all his family, it never ends.

Happiness for his children, comfort for his family, that's what he forever wanted, had the biggest heart you'd ever seen.

Tyler is my friend, love him like a brother, I'll never forget, our great times together.

Remember the good, forget the bad, he would never want us, to ever be sad.

Ride free my brother, I'll see ya when I see ya!

Your friend,

Jay

To my beloved friend, Tyler. There are no words to express how deeply sad and in shock I am over losing you. The thought of never hearing your voice again is too much to bear. You were like a brother to me. We met back in 1987 at D. Russell Lee and have been close ever since. You always put a smile on my face and made me laugh. I have a lot memories that I will cherish always and am thankful for them. I cannot think back about my life without thinking of you. You were so very special to me. I wish I could be there to say goodbye, but understand and respect your family's wishes. I'll just pray to God that you know how much I loved and cared for you and that we will meet again, dear friend. I also pray that your family will someday find peace and comfort. May God bless your precious daughter and always keep her safe. Tyler, you will always be in my heart and forever missed, I miss you now. I pray for your mom, because I know how close you were with her and my heart breaks for your beautiful little girl. She was the light of your life as I'm sure you are hers. I pray that she will find peace and happiness.

I have a hard time saying goodbye, so until we meet again old friend.

I love you, Tyler.
