Opal Banks Obituary


News Death Notice

BANKS, Opal Jean age 75 passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Tri-County Extended Care Center. She was born in London, Kentucky, on January 27, 1935, the daughter of Alex and Mae (Doughty) Gregory. In 1957, in Beautyville, Kentucky, she married Isaac C. Banks, and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2007. Opal worked for Uniclean for twenty years and Lakemans for twenty years. She was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God. Survivors include her four children, Nora Marchant of Dry Ridge, KY, Michael (Juanita) Banks of Fairfield, Ohio, Patty (Scott) Huff of Trenton, Ohio, and John (Cheryl) Gregory of Hamilton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Louella Ramsey; close friends, Shirley and Paul, and Betty Creech. Besides her husband, Isaac, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Gregory; a sister, Doris Stahl; a son-in-law, Steven Marchant. Special thanks to Hospice of Cincinnati for the excellent care they provided. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Pastor Ron Medley officiating, followed by burial in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm Saturday at the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
