News Death Notice

BUNCE, Jack Patrick age 66 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away Sat. November 23, 2013 at Hawthorn Glen Assisted Living Center. Jack was a First Lieutenant in the Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Jack also served as a member of the Judge Advocate General Corp in the Army. He graduated magna cum laude from Ohio State University Law School and lettered for The Ohio State Buckeye football team under the coaching of Woody Hayes. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at OSU. Jack had a law practice in the Lebanon area for 40 years and was a member and former president of the Warren County Bar Association. He sat as the civil court judge in Mason, Ohio for approximately 10 years. Highly intelligent, he was a member of MENSA. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and sports fan. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Marjorie Bunce. He is survived by his wife Becky Bunce; son Stephen M. (Sabrina) Bunce; daughter Mary Elizabeth "Beth" (Michael) Gaines; step-son Angelo (Jodi) Cicero; step-daughter Amber Danner; two grandchildren Makayla Leigh Gaines and Sophia M. Bunce; and three brothers: Bill (Marcia) Bunce, Donn (Theresa) Bunce, and Kimn (Beth) Bunce. Friends and family may call at 5915 Allison Ave. Baptist Church Hamilton, Ohio on Dec. 1 at 1:30 pm for prayer followed by refreshments and fellowship at 4133 Bayberry Ct. Hamilton, Ohio. There will be a future celebration of Jack's life Spring of 2014. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Jack Bunce Memorial Fund c/o Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home.
