News Death Notice
CURTIS, W. Dale Age 74, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born October 26, 1941 in Middletown, OH to Glennmoore and Allie (Clifton) Curtis. He served our country in the US Air Force with an honorable discharge. He was a police officer for Middletown Police Department for 33 years. Dale was a lifetime member of the Middletown Sportsman's Club. Dale is survived by his wife of 27 years, Vicky Lynn (Myers) Curtis; daughters, Toni Howard of Centerville, Cara (Dan) Wielgus of Germantown; son, Chris (Michelle) Combs of Middletown; grandchildren, Shayla, Madison, Grace, DJ, Tallie and Tiffany; 4 great-grandchildren; father and mother-in-law, Ross and Anna Myers; sister, Theda Cassidy and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Coy Hall; sister; Melba Bowling. A special thank you to Dr. Hurlburt, Dr. Gaeke and the ICU nurses at Atrium Medical Center. A Receiving of Friends will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Baker-Stevens- Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Mike Crutchfield officiating. Police honors performed by the Middletown Police Department Honor Guard. PRAYERS GO OUT TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS. DALE WILL BE MISSED,HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND, MY TIME ON THE P.D. RESERVED UNIT. DALE HAD A GOOD WAY ABOUT HOW HE TREATED PEOPLE. GOD BLESS TO FAMILY.

I am so sorry for your family's loss Vicky. Dale was a wonderful man and great friend to all who knew him. He was one of the good ol boys from a great group of officers back in the day. He will be missed by so many people. RIP my dear friend Dale.

Ive known dale most of my life. When he had duty at the hasty tasty back in the day, he used to get after me for squealing my tires in a 66 Gto I had. He was always someone I looked up to, literally and I will miss him alot. My heart goes out to the family. God Bless you all.
