Helen Laxton

Helen Faye Laxton of Armona, CA passed away in the morning hours Sunday June 12, 2011 surrounded by her daughters and family. Helen was born in Skiatook OK to Ervine and Lydia Fisher. She was raised in Oklahoma until her marriage to Glenn, moving to California to find their life. In 1946 they moved to the Lakeside area, and raised their 3 daughters. She was active in school activities, and Eastern Star, serving as worthy Matron along with her husband Glenn. She loved traveling in their RV, especially going to Oklahoma every year for the family reunion.
She leaves to cherish her memory, 3 daughters, Anne Delmage (Ken) of Vacaville, CA, Carol Jean Hudson (Charlie) of Armona CA, and Glennita Miles (Larry) of Armona CA. 11 grandchildren, Carla Proudy (Rick) of Crestline, CA, Danielle Ladesma of Suisun, CA, Mark Delmage (Lavern) of Oklahoma, Ronald Delmage of Vacaville, CA, Deralynn Hester (Troy) of Ely, NV., Tom Hickey of Kingsburg, CA, Michael Hickey (Liz) of Armona, CA, Linda Haley of Hanford, CA, Lori Draper (Dan) of Lemoore, CA, and Erik Hobbs (Sylvia) of Hanford, CA, 20 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, and a granddaughter Darlyn Jones.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 1 pm. at Grangeville Cemetary in Armona.
