Betty Leasure Obituary

Betty was born on March 11, 1932 in Tulare, CA to Ralph and Susie Seals and passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at her home in Laton, CA.

Betty married her high school sweetheart. She stayed home and raised her four children, then went back to school to get her high school diploma. Because of her love of children she went on to get her child development education to become a childcare provider. Betty also became a certified nurse's assistance and worked as a home health care provider for the elderly.

Betty was a loving and giving person; her motto was, "The More, The Merrier." She loved going to her "Tops" group meeting on Wednesday nights and she loved going to church to prepare the materials for the Sunday school lessons. She loved to do craft projects, especially with her grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Douma, sister, Lois Pittock, son, Virgil Leasure Jr., and her brother, Richard Seals.

She is survived by her loving husband, Virgil C. Leasure Sr. of 57 years, daughter, Susan and husband Eugene Rose, son, Leland and wife Deborah Leasure; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 and counting great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson, and her brothers, Bill Seals and Stanley Seals.

Viewing will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m., all being held at the Latter-Day Saints Chapel, 2400 N. 11th Ave., Hanford, CA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Services Chapel in Hanford.
